My Anxiety Story
I had to learn about overcoming anxiety the hard way. During college, I had anxiety, anxiety attacks and depression, after a break-up with a boyfriend. I had the racing heartbeat, the constant intrusive thoughts, and sadness that would not lift, no matter how hard I tried. I desperately wanted to feel better, and like my old self again. But I had no idea how to do it. I wanted to know how I could respond to those feelings in a way that would help me feel better.
Now that I have learned many strategies to overcome my anxiety, I want to share them with people who are seeking help for overcoming their anxiety.
My mission is to help my clients learn to calm themselves down on their hardest days. I want to be the kind of counselor that I needed during that challenging time in my life. I empower my clients by teaching new, more effective responses to the anxiety they experience. With anxiety therapy, my clients are more able to pursue their dreams and goals, and to enjoy their lives more fully.

I will share with you time-tested strategies for responding to anxiety and anxiety attacks in a way that can lessen those feelings. I will provide you strategies to start relieving your anxiety starting on the first day we meet. We will also clarify what issues in your life are causing you the most stress, and we will start finding solutions for those issues. I will be your coach, cheerleader, and encourager.
